The open-source edition requires no login, includes the LAN local core, and excludes official remote-access code. Follow repository documentation for build steps and environment requirements.
Back up your phone album to your computer and access computer files in three steps.
You can revisit onboarding from the help page. Before starting, make sure the desktop app is open and both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Use this when both devices are on the same local network and you want the phone to discover the computer automatically.
Use this when you can see the QR code on the computer. Camera access is temporary and used only to read that code.
Use this when scanning is unavailable, discovery fails, or you prefer manual pairing.
Use this when the phone cannot discover the computer automatically but you can see the computer IP address.
Go to Settings > Connected devices to see paired computers. Tap “Connect” next to an online device to switch the active connection. Only one computer can be active at a time.
Album auto backup syncs new photos and videos from your phone album to the currently connected computer. After it is enabled, you do not need to select every new item manually.
Auto upload transfers new photos and videos from the phone album to the connected computer. The transfer workspace shows the connected computer, upload mode, current media item, speed, progress, transferred size, and queue count.
Turning auto upload off stops the current auto upload task and prevents later new media from syncing automatically. A confirmation dialog appears before it is turned off.
Photos and videos go to the receive folder set in the desktop app. Use the default folder or change it in the desktop app.
Sync History shows album backup results so you can confirm which photos and videos reached the computer.
Local photo backup and LAN file access do not change based on remote-service subscription status. Continued transfer while the screen is off or the app is in the background remains subject to mobile OS permissions, power-saving policies, and background limits. Unfinished work can resume after the network returns or the app comes back to the foreground.
Shared folders let the phone browse files shared by the connected computer and download the files you need.
192.168.1.100 or hostname. If you do not know the address, open LynavoDrive Global Settings on the computer to view the 6-digit code, device IP, or QR code.
Official remote access connects to your computer over the internet instead of only local Wi-Fi. It is a paid official service that requires desktop login and an online target computer. Its cross-network discovery, connection-coordination, and relay code is not in the open-source repository.
The only currently paid product capability is official cross-network remote access. Local photo backup, LAN file access, LAN device discovery and connection, device management, sync history, and access history remain part of the free local core.
Remote service currently costs $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year. Charges, renewal, cancellation, and purchase restoration follow the checkout page and payment platform shown at purchase.
LynavoDrive is a wireless media transfer tool that sends photos and videos from your phone to your computer over a local network. It is useful for creators, editors, and anyone who moves mobile media frequently.
Current desktop installers are available for Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.15 or later. Linux, iOS, and Android availability updates are available by email.
Download and install the desktop app first. Open LynavoDrive on both devices, then scan the QR code or enter the six-digit connection code from the desktop app.
Local direct transfer is designed for high speed and keeps data from going through a cloud drive. Connect the phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi network.
Auto upload sends new photos and videos from your phone album to the connected computer without selecting each item manually.
Official remote access is a paid service for connecting over the internet to a signed-in, online computer on another network. The open-source edition does not include official service code for this capability.
The desktop app may not be running, the computer may be asleep, or the network may be unavailable. Make sure the desktop app is open and the computer is awake, then restart both apps if needed.
Interrupted album backup is designed to resume when the network recovers or the device reconnects, so completed progress is not lost.
The code may be wrong, the desktop app may have rejected the pairing, the client may be offline, or the devices may be on different networks. Re-enter the 6-digit code or try again later.
If scanning cannot open the camera, use the connection code shown on the computer.
When album backup is interrupted, completed items remain. Unfinished items can continue or retry after the network recovers.
Album backup may pause when the computer has insufficient space. Clear storage before continuing.
Official cross-network remote access stops when the subscription expires. Local photo backup, LAN file access, and the rest of the local core remain available.
